It's impossible, said pride. It's risky, said experience. It's pointless, said reason. Give it a try, whispered the heart.
Give It A Try, Whispered the Heart
The heart is essential to our well-being. Not only do we need it to remain healthy, but it also keeps the whole body in motion. I believe everything is connected, and our bodies and heart definitely hear everything we say about them. Why wouldn’t our hearts also be trying to help us by providing guidance and direction?
When The Heart Whispers
Still, we may feel like a war is going on inside, a struggle tearing and pulling between pride, reason and heart. But, if we are quiet, we can hear the heart whispering ever so softly amidst the ego’s clash. We can trust the heart; what spirit is trying to share is the wisdom we so desperately seek.
Create Time
The heart knows, understands and communicates. Create time to breathe and find stillness; in that space, we hear what our heart is trying to say. Listen closely; each time we do, it will get more comfortable, and inspiration will come.
Have Courage
Dear wanderer, what are you up against these days? Are there issues that have diverted you from your purpose? Are you only seeing problems without solutions, or is there a crossroad without clear direction?
It might not always be what we want to hear, but it will always be what we need. Always. The more we take time to listen, the more connected we become, making what our heart has to tell us easier to hear. We have all of the answers inside; we simply need to listen.
Following what our heart is saying might be scary or even seem impossible. But, when we have a dream, we must dare to bring it to life. Take one small action step and see how it goes. Then take another and another because we’ll never know if we can do something unless we try.
BREATHE. LISTEN. ACT.
Most of the time, to get our attention, our minds will scream, and our hearts will whisper. Find relief from this constant noise; create space to hear what our spirit is saying by learning to get quiet.
Try This.
Relax and get comfy. A meditation practice can be done sitting in a chair, lying in bed, lying or sitting on the floor or out in nature (I love to meditate with the ocean waves at the beach). Find a quiet place to listen to your heart’s whispering each day.
