Looking back and regretting not doing something is my greatest fear.
I believe our choices today determine the number of regrets we will have in the next ten, twenty or fifty years.
Life is short. Youth is finite. You have every opportunity right now to make the most of your life.

- Having missed out on opportunities.
- Spending time inefficiently.
- Achieving more.
- A lack of meaningful work.
- Procrastination.
- A lack of good habits.
- Getting involved in destructive relationships.
- Having made mistakes in a past connection.

Just Say Yes
Just the other day, I walked along a street on the Ped Mall in Iowa City, Iowa. I scanned my environment the way I do, looking up, down and all around for things I’ve never seen before.
As I passed by what seemed to be a doorway, I noticed it was an alley – long, very narrow and painted white with splotches of graffiti on the walls. I was intrigued, to say the least, and found myself walking in to see where it led.
Within a few feet, smelly garbage cans forced me to turn sideways and duck just a little as the ceiling lowered. Blue skies erupted above as I took a few more steps.
There was no exit here, only from above, the way the watching crow had come. Scanning every inch, noticing each crack and crevasse, this space felt familiar, as if I had been here before.
The Unknown Path
A great life includes exploring and curiosity along the less-traveled path and out-of-the-way places. I would definitely have regretted not taking the time to explore that alley.
As you travel the unknown path, be true to yourself and discover what you are capable.
