Only from the heart can you touch the sky.

Out Wandering Highway 1
Big Sur, California

These photos are from along Hwy 1 on the California coast just above Big Sur. This major highway stretches 655 miles, starting just south of San Deigo to Rockport above San Fransisco.

Hwy 1 takes us through a beautiful part of the United States. To my West the Pacific Ocean and beyond and to my East, the Santa Lucia Range and Los Padres National Forest in Monterey County.

While wondering this time, I’ll be honest, it felt a little scary to be in such a precarious spot. Pulling off to explore and stretch a bit, I sat in awe at the beauty surrounding me. As I continued, grateful for this experience, it did feel like my heart was touching the sky.

Outcomes

New experiences take us out of our daily routine and into fresh new surroundings, no matter the length or duration. What we encounter while out there will not only reset our mind and body but also boost happiness.

In The End

Live with a curious heart, and be open to where it leads.
